With me and my family.. It's humor. Don't ask me why! But, we always use humor to lighten up a dark moment in life.
One teenager girl was so upset with the death of her cat. My mom casually asked the girl, "Where did you bury your cat?" The teen replied, "In my mother's rose garden!" My mom replied, "Aww, that's great fertilizer for them flowers!!" The teenage girl gave a look and blinked at my mom, then the poor girl started cracking up. So, the moral of the story:
"The grass is always greener on the funny side!"
