Normally you leave it at home because it is connected to the cable/dsl modem. If you are going someplace that also have a dsl/cable modem, you might be able to use it, but you will have problems connecting. VP-100 needs to have unique permanent IP addresses.
Also, if you want, you can check
www.deafvp.com for the users directory. You might find old friends and call them!
