We rarely have beer in our refrigerator. Mostly we keep our wine cooler stocked with red and white wine.

I am not an afficado of American beer, though there are some beers that I do like, especially some of the local beers that are microbrewed here in Salt Lake City. The Squatters Pub do brew some of delicious beer, such as the Hefeweizen beer.

The most interesting beer I ever tasted was cherry flavoured beer Krieks in Belgium, where they literally add cherry syrup to beer. It tasted surprsingly good. They also make raspberry syrup to go with beer, and its called frambois. In Germany, where the beer tradition is especially strong, I find myself drinking mostly Weissbier. It's a popular beer in Bavaria region, and tastes light on the palate. When one is working, one can ask for the Radler's special, where the Weissbier is mixed with lemonade, so it reduces the alcohol content of the beer, but is quite tasty. Radler literally means the "biker" so it is good for someone who needs to ride the bike home after consuming some. :-)
