The gentleman in the video explains that first to use an old cloth [he used an old white tshirt] and put it over a wet vac machine.

The wet vac was turned on and the tshirt covered hose was put over the sink hole and then when the plastic ball was sucked up, the tshirt caught the ball.

The gentleman brought the hose attachment up and you could see the orange ball with other dirt as well.

This shows how you can find your jewelery without taking the sink apart.

That's one of the most creative solutions I've ever read as to how one can retrieve a dropped object in the drain.
