sounds similar to me. i was born prematurely, i weighed like a pound! and i was in the hospital for 3 months. i forget the whole story but somewhere along the line, i got sick and they had to give me meds and they were ototoxic drugs. so the cause of my deafness is either simply cuz i was premature and my ears just didnt develop properly, or cuz (most likely) the drugs. I have been wearing hearing aids since i was 1 or 2 yrs old and am 28 now. I'm wondering if I should be getting the cochlear implant.... YIKES!!!
