If one wants to sing (err, sign) up on these social networks - They know they are putting themselves out in the open.

As for rape - That is where it comes differently. I'm not saying that one should meet a stranger just when rapes comes in the picture but however, the fine line of this is to take caution if one wishes to meet a stranger off the internet.
