I don't think it's a realistic solution to HA issues. There's no reason why background noise would be significantly reduced if it's in the ear versus behind the ear. It's not really that upsetting to take off your hearing aid to -shower-, it's not like it's a complicated procedure. The cost is also extremely prohibitive and I'd bet anything that the device doesn't have a whole lot of power.

It sounds like another gimmick, right up there with standard ITC and little-hidden-beige BTEs that serve one purpose: vanity. And at one hell of a price.

A good BTE should last at least 5 years- assuming a 4000$ high-end digital aid might cost 5000$ over it's life, counting any repair and batteries and earmolds, we hit 2.7$ a day- much less for entry or mid-level hearing aids, or ones that are worn longer than five years. As a contrast, this device costs just under a whopping -10$ a day- for a no-features-whatsoever analog aid, and there's no way to stretch that money by wearing it longer.
