Pinky, If you want McCain get elected then I would hopefully that democrat would remain to be majority in congress, both of senator and house of rep to prevent any abuse on our civil rights, such as GLBT rights, abortion or any related with civil rights, government is supposed not to abuse on civil rights but just need rather to focus on important issues, such as war, tax, health, etc.
It's similar to during Ronald Reagen and first Bush's presidency, democrat were majority in congress in rest of 80's and early 90's.
