Excuse me, I live here in Germany and know EU news on the same time as Russia attacked Georgia, not you.
Counsellor Angela Merkel told French President Sarkozy that they EU members should work together to focus on their potential as mediators, not rely on US involvement. They can't rely on the Americans fix for this. US Government know EU Government for peacemakers and have no problem for that...
Yes, I know Bush and Sarkozy phoned each other... Bush agreed to not involve but support them to this solution. What´s your point?
