Last year i had a comp notetaker that wrote down everything the teacher said because she was like straight off the boat indian and she wouldn't wear my fm system so i just sat there, i decided to switch programs after and i didnt need the class, so needless to say i didn't try hard in it and ended up failing as well...but this class is really important.

C.A.R.T. - it's nearly like closed-captioning live. I think it stands for Communication Access Realtime Translation. Check out this
link There is a stenographer (a lady with special keyboard that you see at most of court rooms) who will type out everything that professors are saying and you will see the text on the laptop. That way - I was able to fully-participate in class discussions. It's a great help.
