I already gave her my Individual Student Plan that says i am hard of hearing/deaf that i have a significant amount of difficulty in class hearing and understandign what's going on, as well as all the measures that shud be taken in class: i.e. do not cover mouth, make sure lighting is adequate when talking, make sure there is cc when watching a movie or powerpoint presentation, as well as use my FM system, don't talk while moving around so much, preferential seating, as well as that i have extended times for my test 30 extra mins for every hour. I also do have a blurb in there about student notetakers, which i hate...

And i cannot have an terp because i am still learning asl, as well as i wouldn't want to waste a terps time when there are people who really cannot hear at all who need a terp more than i would.
Last year i had a comp notetaker that wrote down everything the teacher said because she was like straight off the boat indian and she wouldn't wear my fm system so i just sat there, i decided to switch programs after and i didnt need the class, so needless to say i didn't try hard in it and ended up failing as well...but this class is really important.
I am meeting with my disability counsellor today to discuss the emails that were sent back and forth b/w the "success specialist" and I and request a loaner fm system until i find mine..someone may have stolen it..so i don't know if the school will pay for a new one for me. (they paid for my fm system, phonak smartlink sx, and i get to keep it...only that is is missing and i think one of my "friends" from last semester may have taken it)
