So it's alright for AD to advocate racism on these boards knowing full well that the Southern Cross represents it?

I understand Southerners argue it's just a symbol of being Southern but it's entrenched with racism and slavery. Surely - there are other ways to glorify your Southern heritage other than Confederate flag.

To Freedom and Equality!

I am viewing it from a neutral and unbiased standpoint.
There is no "me" or "we" or "us", here.

I am from Michigan and always have been, which so happens would have been Union, back then.

If people want to look at it as "us" vs "you", then they have an agenda, and well... we can't use that very well in logical determinations.

That would pretty much sum it up as "the Confederate flag is racist, because we say it is." That's called 'arbitrary'.

Oh, and by the way.
I think in Germany it is illegal to display any Nazi flag or insignia. (correct me if I am wrong)
In the US, it is NOT illegal to fly or display Confederate colors. So unless/until it becomes so, people will just have to deal with it, no matter their personal opinion.
When one flies a flag that divides a country, they are separating themselves from the rest of the country and have decided that it is "us" against "them."

So therefore, it becomes "us" against "them"....again.

No southerner hasn't explained why they would associate themselves with this flag knowing that SPLC has stated that over 500 extremist groups use this flag as their symbol.....
